THE POWER OF COMMUNITY: HOW CUBA SURVIVED
PEAK OIL

ROOM 1020, INTERNATIONAL BUILDING

A documentary film will be shown followed by a discussion of the
way Cuba has decreased its energy consumption, led by past
and present field school participants. This is an awareness and
fund-raising event for the 2011 Cuba Field School.

Admission $5

Presented by Dr. Wendy Hulko, Jane Birkbeck, and SOCW 3300 students
Sponsored by School of Social Work and Human Service, and the
Kamloops Chapter of the Council of Canadians.

  1. I think I saw this very film when it screened in Vancouver a couple years ago! It was quite outstanding. I'm glad it's still getting an audience. It may just be getting more important year after year. I'll let my Kamloops-area family know about the screening.
